This is a list of business partners and resources that we have developed over the years. We are including them here as a convenience for our clients. Although we’ve worked with all of these organizations in the past (and they’ve been great!) we do not warrant, endorse or assume any liability for the work performed by any third-party vendor listed here.




Local Donations: One-Stop Shops ![]() | 1 800 GOT JUNK | Residential and commercial items, except hazardous waste and cleaning supplies. They pick up, donate and recycle what they can, and dispose of the rest. The fee is based on the amount of items. |
Goodwill of Silicon Valley | Accepts household items, clothing, shoes, some furniture, vehicle donations, e-waste, small appliances, jewelry, electronics, fabric recycling, and, depending on the location, mattress recycling. Find the closest Goodwill store Find out what they accept | |
Remoov | Takes items to consign, donate, recycle and dispose of. You’ll earn a commission on anything they sell on your behalf. Their fee is based on the amount of items. | |
Savers | Accepts clothing & household goods, cleaning supplies and toiletries. | |
Local Donations: Specific Items ![]() | Bay Area Furniture Bank | Takes small furniture in good to excellent condition. There is a pickup fee. Check the website to see what they will and will not take. |
Dress for Success | Accepts women’s business clothing in good condition. | |
Ecumenical Hunger Program | Takes donations of unexpired food & gently used furniture, household décor, toys, and clothes. They offer a pick-up option. Check to see what they are currently accepting. Call 650-323-7781 or email donations@ehpcares.org. | |
Hope’s Corner | Accepts new and gently-used clothing, household items, unopened, shelf-stable food items, toiletry items, and bicycle items. Check their wish list for items currently accepted. | |
Jewish Family & Children’s Services | Accepts donations of furniture and household goods in new or gently used condition. Call them first to see what they’re currently accepting. Call 650-688-3030. | |
Kindle Classroom Project | Offers used Kindles and tablets to students. | |
LifeMoves | Household goods, toys, books, clothing, new toiletries, some décor, all in good to excellent condition. | |
Pets in Need Palo Alto | Pet items and gently used bedding in good condition. Call first to verify they are taking donations. | |
Stanford University Loan Closet Program | Provides new and gently used household items to international students and their families at Stanford. | |
Sunnyvale Community Services | Accepts vehicles for donation. For information, click here. | |
Document Destruction![]() | Red Dog Shred | Secure document and hard drive destruction. |
Moving Companies![]() | Universal Movers, LLC | They have several offices in the San Francisco Bay Area and are one of the best moving companies I know of. |
